BRIAN KINGSTON

Brian is an active member of the South Bay Artist Collective based out of the Resin Gallery in Hermosa Beach, CA. Brian has grown up in the South Bay and is heavily influenced by the celebrated ocean lifestyle and culture. He is a painter, a photographer, a graphic designer, and a mixed media artist with his current passion in merging photography and graphic design within paintings on large wooden canvases that are finished with resin. Brian has described himself modestly in a quote below:

“Occasionally at night I am the classic garage hermit. Dusty air filled with tunes…I tinker, over conceptualize, procrastinate, and create a blend of disputable “art like objects” using an assortment of mediums and techniques. My website is simply a way to display some of the evidence.”

Currently, Brian has work up in Resin Gallery on a rotating basis and art shows in addition to two installations. You can find nine commissioned paintings of Jazz musicians on wood at Saint Rocke in Hermosa Beach and a 13’ x 24’ photograph wall installation at Rush Street in Culver City, CA.. Brian considers himself very fortunate to have also done some creative work for clients such as Belvedere Vodka, Globe Shoes, Freestyle Watches, Spyder Surfboards, Tsukihoshi Shoes, Rush Street, Saint Rocke, Gum Tree, Starr Design Group, ASPCA, and what he calls his “real” job…being CFO for the LA-born and based sunglass company goodr.com
